Bs/md Medical Program

Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone knows when we find out if we're accepted to the combined medicine program? I heard back from Uconn and got accepted into their honors college with the half tuition scholarship. I'm majoring in Biomedical Engineering. So has anyone heard back from Uconn about the medical program?

Since the deadline for all materials was January 1st, I’m guessing that we won’t be hearing back until mid-late February for interviews.

I’m so nervous, haha.

EEeeep I hope this info comes out soon!

I just got my interview notification :).

yo tambien

D is still waiting for info on the combined program. She got the Honors info and 1/2 tuition scholarship in December. I don’t know whether I am being gullible but when a UConn Premed student called for D two weeks ago and asked if D had any questions, I told her that (D wasn’t home) the only question D had was whether she got into the combined program. The student said don’t worry you’ll be hearing news about that real soon. It’s been two weeks since then so now I’m worried.

So what percentage of applicants get interviews, and what percentage of interviewed students are eventually accepted? Anyone know?

This is from UConn’s website:
"It is estimated that between 200 and 300 applicants will apply. The office will provide a complete summary listing of applicants to the School of Medicine justifying its initial selection. It is expected that the office will select approximately 50 candidates for further consideration by the School of Medicine.

The School of Medicine’s Admission Committee will then evaluate these candidates. It is expected that the committee will select about 20 to 25 candidates for interviews. Interviews at the medical school will be required for any candidates under consideration for CPiM admission. The school will provide a rank-ordered list of acceptable candidates to the admission office."

With most of these programs, if you get an interview, it’s about a 50% admit rate from there.

Oooh yikes! Well I hope I am one of those lucky 20-25 ;)

if you don’t mind sharing how were you “notified”?

I was notified by email.

did anyone hear back from the BS/DMD program yet?
