BS/MD Program

Hi, i am interested in attending the 6-year BS/MD program at Penn State, but i have a couple of questions..

What are my options for majors?

Will I receive a regular diploma and a medical degree?

What is the tuition cost for out-of- state?

Do I have to take SAT subject tests?

First off, you don’t just attend, you have to go through a rather detailed and involved admissions process. Hope your stats are up to it.

What are my options for majors? - You have no options, you’re only in undergrad for two years.

Will I receive a regular diploma and a medical degree? -** Assuming you successfully complete the six (or seven) years, yes.**

What is the tuition cost for out-of- state? - “Students in the cooperative program study at two separate institutions. While attending Penn State, students pay the regular University tuition rate ([Penn State Tuition](http://tuition.psu.edu/)), and while attending Jefferson Medical College, they pay the regular Jefferson Medical College rate. Because students enrolled in this cooperative program complete only two or three years of undergraduate study at Penn State, they are not eligible for tuition scholarships from the Schreyer Honors College or Braddock Scholarships from the Eberly College of Science.”

Do I have to take SAT subject tests? - No - but you’re going to be competing against many students who have taken multiple subject tests.
