Some may be only for in state! (99.9% sure)

Thanks for directing me to the page Bruno.

With my stats now disclosed, I understand that they are not the greatest. Therefore I will not be applying to places like Northwstern HPME and Brown University. But I am hoping my passion for the sciences will assist me in the process.

add muhlenberg/drexel

Apply to a few, but keep in mind that your stats aren’t likely high enough for admittance to a BS/MD program. Those programs are highly competitive and you’ll be competing against Val/Sals with ACT 35/36 and near perfect SATs along with great ECs.

Besides, keep in mind that attending an OOS public for med school can be VERY expensive. The University of Alabama School of Med has an OOS COA of $80,000 per year (and likely much higher when you’d be attending).

You need to spend some time focusing on undergrads that are affordable, that you like, and where you’ll likely have the stats to get admitted to a med school 4 years from now.

Definitely try the St. Bonaventure BS/MD program with GW. I applied for their in-state one with Upstate which was more competitive (only 2 positions compared to 10 or so with roughly the same amount of applicants) and I did not have great stats. If you really want to be in a BS/ MD program, that one might be a tad easier than the others.

@Zobroward: May I ask why you recommend the program

muhleneberg is an awesome school and drexel ain’t to shabby either. muhlenberg also has a joint program with temple for early admission junior year to their med school I believe!
