Bs/Md

Hi guys Im currently a junior in high school and i have a 3.6 uw gpa and a 4.6w gpa. I got a 2150 on my sat and i do nhs and started a club and play tennis (for three years)… what bs/md programs are in my reach? thank you!!!

Those stats aren’t great and you may not get any of these but you would have the best chances at the following:
for 7yr - Drexel programs (lehigh/villanova/drexel), Albany programs (RPI/Sienna/Union), NEOCOM programs, UMDNJ programs, UMKC, USF, Kentucky.
for 8yr - Wayne State, VCU, Brooklyn/SUNY Downstate, Stony Brook, UIC, University of Cincinnati, Colorado.
And there are quite a few texas programs if you are in-state

So do you think it would be better to go to a 4 yr, take the mcat and then go to med school?

@dblazer

3.6 UW and 2150 SAT are on the low end for any BSMD program honestly. There’s not much you can do about that GPA but consider taking the SAT again or trying the ACT. also, do you have any medical experiences? Without hospital volunteering/research/shadowing it’s very difficult to get into any BSMD program because how else can you express your commitment to medicine?

Ok I see what u are sayin… I have been volunteering at a kaiser for a year now.
