BS recs for PG year — 3.4 GPA, high level soccer player

I keep coming back to a PG year for my middle of the road S22. We live in rural Texas and he is coasting along because he can. I’m afraid with his Covid “extended vacation” he is not going to be ready for college and would benefit from a year of remedial coursework and maturity in 2022-23. He is an outstanding soccer goalkeeper and wants to keep playing. And I think he’ll be 6’4”+ by the time he starts his PG year, I’d think this would be a big attraction for a coach. He also has an interest in the arts (music and visual arts). Which schools come to mind for him? How hard would it be for him to get in as a PG somewhere with middling grades but strong athletics?
