I know this was posted on another thread, but there were no replies so I decided to make a new one.

What are the reputations of boarding schools?

..the best? (I know this is a matter of opinion, but I mean tiers and SAT scores. The HYPSM matriculation has already been posted on another thread.)

Andover - 75 to 85, 19-21% acceptance this year
Exeter - 60
Middlesex - 20 to 30
Choate - 40
Hotchkiss -
Deerfield - 65 (this may change to due over enrollment of the freshman class)
SPS - 40 to 50
Peddie -
Lawrenceville -

Could you guys add percentages? Since we don’t know how many are applying, knowing how many open spots there are doesn’t really help (me). Thanks! :)

Are you truly trying to discern how various boarding schools are perceived or are you attempting to compile a list of schools to apply to? If it’s the former, by all means, continue, you might receive some interesting replies (though your sample will be a bit skewed). If it’s the latter, this is not going to be overly useful. And quite a bit of this you could find with a little research. In particular, sports, extracurriculars, FA info, and acceptance rates are on many schools’ websites. Boarding School Review allows sorting by a number of categories. If you’re compiling a list, the only useful categories are the community and freedom sections.
