<p>I attended the Mechanical Engineering program at JHU this week and learned that there is an alternative degree in Engineering Mechanics. Since I am more than likely headed to grad school after graduation, this major appeals to me, because it apparently gives a lot more flexibility in course options.</p>

<p>Does anyone know anything about a BS in EM vs ME?</p>

<p>I think it’s a very slight different and you don’t have to know which area you want until the end of the first year so you have a lot of time to decide after you get to campus. </p>
