I absolutely would LOVE the idea of making a business at my high school: I have taken accounting, I’m in FBLA, and I just love the topic of business in general. The problem is I just can’t think of an idea. I heard a story about one kid selling sweets and junk food outside fo his school (since he went to one of those “all healthy school”) and he had made thousands of dollars in one year! However, my school is not like his, so I cannot do the same thing as he did . It would be great if someone could give me plausible ideas of what’s good/services I could do at or around my school that can be business centered (besides creating a black-market business of doing other people’s hw xD) Now, I don’t have to make THOUSANDS of dollars, but I would like to make as much as I can, and have it something peers at my school would pay forPlease respond asap so I can start planning!
If there’s anything I’ve learned from entrepreneurship at Wharton it’s that you should ask yourself before starting: “What is it that I can do that my target population wants?” and go from there.
Lol this sounds so much like every Wharton pre-frosh. “I like the idea of business!” Then they end up going into banking or consulting for the rest of their lives.
OP, you’re going about this the wrong way. If you really want to start a business, what you need is life experience. You need to not only be able to identify a pain point in some facet of some field that can appeal to a sufficiently large market, you need to have the domain knowledge to actually work in that field.
