BSME at NMSU vs. BSMET at ASU

Hey guys I know this has probably been covered before but I would like som individualized attention on the subject for my case thanks. I'm a sophomre at Arizona state university and am currently an MET degree here doing my first years of the program becasue I did ChE my first three semesters and wasn't so interested and screwed around too much so my gpa isn't good right now. My question is since I wouldn't be able to do ME here at ASU would I be better off to stay here doing MET with a focus in automotive engineering technology or transfer back home to Newmexico State University where I can do the ME degree?

The problem I see is that I am already in SAE mini baja here and am excelling at school now that I have my mind in the right place and am willing to work. I am also develping good relationships with the upper division MET professors here and would figure that since I am in the big city I would have more opportunities to find jobs rather than Having am ME in Las Cruces, NM.

I am really into cars and want to end up in the automotive world specifically in the Aftermarket offroad industry or any Aftermarket industry and develop my own line of parts company someday. I forgot to mention I am a very hands on person and have dug into many vehicle and have built my rock crawler up pretty well yet I am pretty good at math when I apply myself.

Thanks Guys

anyone? please I could really use the help

Do you want to do the type of job that an ME would do or an MET would do after you graduate? There’s your answer.

well the thing is that I really want to get into design and develop parts. I have read the other posts on this topic but still am confused because you hear many different things from different people
