Bswt3

I heard some where that if you placed into English BSWT3 you'll get kicked out by the end of your first year or something. I'm not too sure about this but I placed in this : (.

That is not true. In this situation, you’ll only be kicked out if you don’t satisfy the ELWR (Entry Level Writing Requirement). To complete this requirement, all students (with the exception of those placed into BSWT 3) need to pass ENG 4 by the end of their first year (three academic quarters). Also, passing for these English classes is considered a C and not a C-. Huge difference in college.

For students placed in BSWT003, this three-quarter rule begins after satisfactory completion of BSWT003 or the start of their fourth quarter of regular enrollment at UCR, whichever comes first ([Entry-Level Writing Requirement: Time Limit](http://www.elwr.ucr.edu/time_limit.html)). If a student does not satisfy the requirement within the time frame, then that student is ineligible to be enrolled at any of the UC campuses. I really advise first years at all UC campuses to take this seriously; the school is not joking when they say they will kick you out. Good luck!

Okay well with that said then after my first quarter i’ll be taking ENG 4 and if I pass that then I’ll be okay?

Yes, you will be fine. They’ll explain it more at orientation/when classes start.
