Hey! I was wondering how good the engineering program at BU is, especially electrical/computer engineering. Specificaly:

Are the acedemics above average, average, or below average as a whole/

How hard/easy is it to get internships/jobs from BU? Are starting salaries above the national average?

How are the research ops at BU for engineering?

Thanks for your time1

not a single reply? Really?

I’m not an engineer. I point people to the American Society for Engineering Education, which collects information about all accredited programs. Here’s the external funding page of the BU report. The links on the left take you to other sections. You can see that in the areas of your interest, BU gets a fairly decent amount of money. You can also see a strength in biomedical engineering.

Hi I’m a sophmore engineer. I’m actually switching from aerospace to computer. All engineering at BU is great, but biomedical is the biggest and best rated. What other schools are you considering? My friend is transferring from Notre Dame because he thinks the EE program is better at BU.

Jobs and research opporutnities are definitely available, especially if you befriend a professor or two. Most of the upperclass engineers I know have some sort of research internship/job.

Sorry I can’t offer more information, but I don’t really know about starting salaries and the details of the research programs yet.

I myself will be going engineering and what ranks best is if after graduation you have a job and knowing several people who are BU Engineers, they all have jobs.
