BU Accelerated BSMD program 2015

Does anyone know when the decision about the accelerated medical program is made?

i got mine today with regular college of arts acceptance.

I got mine on March 26th with accelerated medical program acceptance.

My child got in but no money even though we put BU as first choice for National Merit Finalist. I think they do not easily give scholarship money to kids in the accelerated program. It will cost about half a million dollars (after tax money and before interest if you have a loan) to get an MD. THere got to be other ways to get a MD degree that will make more economy sense. It will be fine if you can get financial aid or willing to pay for it.

So, BU program may not be for everyone. If you child is very smart, it may make more sense to go to an undergraduate school that you do not have to pay much. Then, he/she can apply later. THe other benefit is that you may have more choices. Alternatively, go to an ivy since it will cost the same as BU and apply later. Everything has its pros and cons. Good luck everyone.

My daughter is in the same situation. She named BU as her first choice too. We were hoping to get the half tuition and one year less to better manage. Case $10K does not look so bad now (not accepted yet though). Reconsidering USC Trustee Scholarship (full tuition, but did not get the combined program). BU is a great school, but we don’t know if it is affordable.

wooh got my acceptance into bs/md. Medical school is getting increasingly difficult to get into and a program that can guarantee admission into med school is priceless.

The whole point of the program is to train future doctors and it is no secret that doctors come out of medical school with tremendous debt.

Anyone know where to get some BU Med School gear online?
Also, how many people were accepted/applied this year (even past year data will do)?
