Hey there, I’m currently a junior in high school and have begun my college search. Boston University is my top choice; I visited last fall and instantly fell in love with the city vibes, but also the real college feel. I’m most interested in their Nutrition/Public Health major, it seems like it combines the exact two things I’m interested in because it includes a bit of a communication aspect, but I’m worried I won’t be able to get in. I’m taking my first round of SATs in 2 weeks, so I’d like to know some scores others have gotten, who have either applied, or gotten accepted into BU. I saw somewhere that someone said since they had type 1 diabetes they felt that that may have helped them get into the school because of the deeper connection to the major, and I’m also a type 1, so if anyone knows anything about this? I was thinking I would put that in my application essay to show the root of the reason for choosing the major I want.
Currently my resume looks like this:
-3.6 GPA
-involved in varsity tennis all 4 years
-involved in school chorus/band for 4 years
-Cheerleading team
- pep squad (this basically is a group to increase school spirit and things like that)
-AP Psychology/ anatomy
-honors language course (and language all 4 years)
-writes for the newspaper
-40 hours of community service (and counting cause I still have this summer)
