<p>Hey current students. Where and when should we get our BU apparel? Is the BN bookstore on campus the best option, or is their website decent enough? Also, does the clothing ever go on sale online or in the bookstore, since $18 for the t shirt I bought at the bookstore is just crazy. Is there a better season to order/any alternative places to order BU stuff?</p>

<p>College stuff is always ridiculously over-priced. BU stuff is sold at various places around town, not as much as Harvard or MIT, of course - or BC because of sports - but it is around. You may find it on sale sometimes but you never know.</p>
<p>You get a student discount (like 25% off) with your ID right before Winter Break at Barnes & Noble. Otherwise, I’ve never seen any big discounts especially during this time of year where prospective students are buying BU gear. You pretty much have to buy it overpriced if you want it. I looked other places a little before I came since I’m from MA, but most places don’t carry BU stuff. You could probably find some in the Pru or Faneuil Hall… it’d most likely be pretty pricey there too though.</p>
<p>Thanks lergnom and Lauren. I might grab a hoodie when I arrive on campus (yes for full). I can definitely wait until Winter Break for a 25% off, haha. Stock up then for all occasions to let the world know I’ma terrier.</p>
<p>Sometimes they give out free tshirts at sport events. Last year we got a nice shirt at Orientation too. Oh and you may or may not get a 10% off coupon if you go on a campus tour (or pretend to go on one… ha).</p>
<p>If you’re interested in any particular items from the BU bookstore you can try the website, although it won’t have close to the selection actually featured in the store. If an item doesn’t seem to be available in the particular size that you’re looking for, you can also try calling the store on the phone and ordering it (assuming that you don’t want to wait until Orientation or Fall Semester arrival).</p>
<p>Thanks Hanita and momom. I’m in no rush to stock up on BU stuff, but just wanted a general idea of when the best time to buy stuff was. I already have a red tee shirt from BU, so that should be sufficient enough. I will be attending orientation pretty soon, sometime in June so I can wait.</p>
