BU BFA Acting--Class of 2012--Any news?

Has anyone heard anything from BU?

No not yet. My D is still waiting....her admissions page said late March or mid April. Did yours?

Yes, sounds like standard copy. Thought I'd put the question out there, though. As soon as I did this for CMU, things sort of took off and went wild!

Yeah hopefully they really will let you all know before mid April! That is so late. My D said all her auditions went well but that was the borderline one. She was near the last in the group at Chicago u and it was in a hotel room!! Where was your audition?

My son auditioned in Chicago also.

Think the kids will hear something this week?????

I think I heard that they mail letters around April 1st. I hope it's sooner though!

I'm pretty sure they do it online first. At the information session they said around April 1st.

OK everyone--the admissions decisions at BU are posted at your on-line account. Let's see who gets in!

I guess not many on CC applied to BU. . .

letsfigureitout - my daughter got in on Friday - I think there are a couple of other CCers who's sons or daughters who auditioned as well ---

Congrats! How in the world will your daughter decided among her fabulous options? Good luck with that!

My D received her rejection. Not surprised really as her audition went so-so she said. It was her last choice in her order....good luck to all others! She is in at Syracuse, her top choice. Waiting to hear from others.

Actingmom congrats to your D and good luck!

did you guys get rejected/accepted from school of theater or general admissions?

Like on your online account...will it be a letter from admissions or specifically the acting program

thanks!

My son was accepted specifically to the BU School of Theatre Arts via online notification yesterday.

In addition to actingmom's daughter (congratulations!) other CC members who have posted about their acceptances to BU are he-art4272, Mother of GG's daughter, and Nickeatworld.
That makes five.

I don't know how common it is for auditions to take place in hotel rooms at the Chicago unifieds. When my son auditioned for BU in New York, the audition was in a studio in an older building, and the room had a remarkably noisy radiator. :-)

Oops -- I didn't notice that the earlier posts on this thread were from a year ago. Sorry about that.

was from Director of Admissions, ( The university) and in second sentence names the School of Theater arts
