Questions:
Are SAT subject tests required if I am applying to only CGS?
Since I am taking the SAT in October again would I be able to take the Subject tests in November and still apply Early Decision to CAS?

Should I even go for CAS? or maybe I should just apply to CGS?

You’ll have a chance at CGS but most likely not CAS.

Although I’ve heard that they are getting rid of CGS next year so I don’t know if you will even be able to apply for it. Hmm…

They are not getting rid of CGS, Urban legend. Subject tests are necessary.

If you apply to a school like CAS and submit the ACT instead of the SAT and subject tests will you still be considered for CGS of you’re not accepted to CAS?

If I send my ACT scores in will SAT Subject tests be necessary? Also is there any point in applying early decision for CGS? If I do apply ED when will be the last time I can take the SAT Subject tests before I send them in?

send in your sat 2s. i submitted my 630 spanish reading and a 610 math 2 (which aren’t exactly the greatest) with a 3.7 gpa (7 APs, 1 honors)
28 act/ 1850 sat
i had a really good essay,
two stellar recs (ap english language/ap psych and then my spanish 4 teacher) and got into CAS

I’m going to apply to CGS though. When is the latest I can apply to CGS?

For what school year? If you mean Fall 2010 then it’s too late since they already accepted everyone who was getting in.

i applied regular to CAS and i think that deadline was january something

if you do get into cas, i think that’s better financially since in cgs you have less choices for your core reqs and it’s only a 2 year program where as in cas you can start asap

I’m going to apply for Fall 2011. I want to apply Early Decision to BU but I don’t want to be 100% sure to go to CGS because I might be accepted to a better school somewhere else. When is the deadline for applying to CGS and do I have a really good chance for getting into CGS? Because everyone I talked to that applied to CGS has gotten in.

CGS is really not that hard to get into, I think what sets you apart is you have 2 letters from ACTUAL BU professors.

So do you think I will probably get into CGS? Also are you required to take a foreign language in CGS? What is the curriculum for CGS?

Nevermind found the core curriculum. So I want to major in Biology so should my electives be Biology?
