Does anybody know out of the some 1700 ED apps this year what percent were accepted, denied, and deferred?

I heard it was around 30% of the pool was accepted

Somebody (not me) created a Twitter account for the BU Class of 2018.

The Twitter Handle is @BostonU2018

And mine is @IAmBigIan if you wanna check me out too while you’re there :p

Definitely more than a numbers game for BU, something we liked about the school for our D, more of a holistic approach than many of the schools of this level.

@breag97 what major did u go for?

@Username420 i have similar stats to urs too…what major did u get in for?

@aznrobot9 what was ur weighted gpa? im planning on applying for CAS for comp sci this december

@Blade3390 i got 1880 on my SAT and i have 3.8 wgpa atm. do u think my chances r high for CAS comp sci this december if i do ED?

@ajaxm13 is 3.8 W or UW?

@andreahdz12 what were ur stats and did u get in? im planning on doing sha

How many of you are taking out loans for BU?

@food4lyfe It is UW. I actually will not be attending BU though.

@ajaxm13 - Why not?

@preamble1776 insufficient financial aid package

@ajaxm13 - Feels you, man. Whole reason I didn’t apply to BU ED is because of their infamous lousy aid + huge price tag. Do you know where you’re going instead?

I have also been admitted to Vermont, SUNY Binghamton and Bentley. Waiting to hear back from Michigan, St. Lawrence and Northeastern. I am leaning towards Bing as it is a great value. Vermont is instate for me but I do not want to go there. Bentley offered me a half tuition scholarship, I hope I will get a little more in the way of need based aid from Bentley. If I can get into Michigan and get a significant package then I would most likely go there.

This is going to sound really bad, but I got in ED to BU. However, I never wanted to ED in the first place and my parents really talked me into it. How bad would it be to try and break the contract? I’m not sure if I’d take a gap year, or apply to another country for university. The level of I-don’t-want-to-attend terrible.

@melodystar u dont want to go?? thats my dream school im applying this november

Schools share their ED acceptance lists. If you break the ED agreement (except for financial reasons) you may not be admitted to another (decent) school. A gap year may wash that away though.

@preamble1776 for BU do u know if you can put two majors? like one major and a backup one when you apply?
