BU Class of 2018 ED Thread

@bruins1963 jake or zach?

Nope it says they haven’t received anything:/

Oh my gosh, I’m going crazy, these next few weeks are really going to drag on! What is everyone’s major? I aspire to major in Neuroscience. Good luck to everyone, and good luck trying to keep sane over the next few weeks!

@bigbooklover the CSS profile was due Nov. 15th if you were an early decision applicant, its the FAFSA that you dont fill out until January, correct me if I’m wrong though haha :)

Just found info…

If you are applying for Admission through the Early Decision program, file your PROFILE by November 15. All other students should wait and not file the PROFILE and FAFSA until January 1, so that both forms are completed at the same time. By doing so, you only have to collect all your information once and you can make sure you report information consistently between the two applications.

So excited!! And yeah mine says it’s been submitted.

Hey, I applied RD to BU and I just wanted to pop in and wish you all luck.

I’m excited too but also nervous! I can’t believe we find out in 12 days!

Maybe this is a silly question, but does by Dec. 15th mean we’ll find out by the end of the 14th or we may find out as late as on the 15th?

@wadiwo

I’m almost positive no later than the 15th, so I think we could also find out that day, however I was just curious, the 15th is a Sunday, their offices are closed on both Saturday and Sunday. We could possibly find out on the 13th! Friday the 13th… :(

I also applied Early Decision because this is my top school and I also thought it would help my chances. I believe my essays for Boston were strong along with my teacher and guidance counselor recommendations. I am FREAKING out about the decision as it’s only in 12 days and I can’t handle this pressure. I want to live in Warren Towers and hopefully find a great intramural volleyball team to join. Anyone interested? GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE! :)

Thanks @BUED2018CASTIM. I am just worrying that my SAT scores and GPA aren’t good enough, cause I saw the averages for the applicants admitted last year and it sort of was discouraging. I think you have a high chance if you are also considering CGS as well, cause your SAT scores and GPA are pretty good.

@BUED2018CASTIM if we both make it I’ll be on your intramural volleyball team! Warren towers is my top choice, what about y’all?

I honestly haven’t though that far ahead. I am just hoping just to be admitted right now. LOL

I was thinking we could find out at midnight on the 14th going to 15th… I just wanna know now!! Can’t take the suspense of whether or not I was accepted D:

And I did receive an email stating that I needed to send in my first quarter grades. I called and they said they require 1st quarter grades for all Early Decision applicants. I asked my school to send them and they did.

wait really? I called as well and they said for ED applicants just submit your 1 semester senior grades as soon as it comes out! im sooo confused ):

I heard that the SAT scores and GPA for ED students is lower, more like a 1950 or so last year. I saw a lot of students received acceptances with lower SAT scores and lower GPAs. I’m hoping this will apply to this year as well.

@wadiwo thats so cool! hey @rjb1014!
