Just thought I’d make a thread where all the accepted students can talk and maybe get acquainted with one another :)

Hey there!
I was accepted into CAS for IR and Sociology
Which college did you get accepted into, and what major?

I got accepted into the College of Engineering for Biomedical Engineering! I’m so excited :D

That’s so cool! I wish we could have been notified at a nicer time though. It’s 2am here
Why did you decide to ED to BU?

Oh, it was 10 AM here and noon in Boston. And I decided back in Junior Year when I realized that BU literally has all the things I want in a school. When did you decide to apply ED?

Wah, good for you. I am originally from outside the Boston area, but I never considered going back until I realised how romanticised the tropics are, and how awesome snow and cold is! But anyways my parents really had to talk me into ED’ing at the start of this year, because I didn’t want to be locked down. Well, got in, locked in, but hey, it’s a darn good school and well ranked so I can’t complain!

Accepted to COM!

I got accepted into CAS for Astronomy and Kilachand! (not sure how the latter’s gonna affect everything)

Accepted to COM! So so so excited to meet y’all!

@melody
That’s really cool, it’s always fun to return to places you lived in the past for a new chapter in one’s life. @Bruins @RTB @Wadiwo congrats! It’s so nice to be done with applications and having the opportunity to go to one’s dream school :D

I think the main benefit of early decision (aside from being admitted to my top choice school) is that with applications out of the way I can focus on things like getting my IB diploma and just generally doing good for the rest of my senior year without a gigantic cloud of worry hanging over my head.

where do you guys live now? (sooo not trying to be a creep haha)

@RTB I agree completely. It’ll be so much easier to focus on the rest of Senior Year now. And @wadiwo I currently live in New Mexico, but I’m from New York originally.

@wadiwo I was born in Chicago, IL, but currently I’m living in a small town called Middlebury in northern IN. (it’s really cold)

Born in Rhode Island, living in CT, very close to NYC

What drew all of you guys to BU? For me it was the fact that it existed in a city, and that there was awesome study abroad, and a strong BME program. And then everything else about BU drew me in as well haha

@webbgarrisoniv I live in NC but my entire family’s from up north so I’ve always wanted to live up there, but I also wanted a city. When I visited in March I fell in love with BU (even though I originally went there to tour NEU). Everything is just so perfect about it…the people was so nice, the food was great, COM is a great school, and it’s in the middle of one of the best cities in the world, theres really nothing more I could ask for :)

@webbgarrisoniv a lot of things pointed me in BU’s direction. I have family that came from Vermont so I’ve frequented the east coast, and I’ve been to boston several times as well as other places along the east coast and it’s one of the best areas in the country imo, and a lot is accessible from there too so I thought that’d be helpful. Not to mention the close proximity to some of the best schools in the nation (e.g. MIT and Harvard) and the fact that they have a good Astronomy program. I think there were other reasons too, (and the city aspect was definitely one of them) but those were the main ones.

Noway I’m a Vermonter born and raised! I just found out I got into SMG as a finance major, so excited.

i got accepted to com and I’m from long island!
