I thought I’d start an RD thread since there seems only to be an ED thread here. How’s everyone doing with the supplements? Anyone applying for Trustee Scholarship or Kilachand Honors College? Can’t wait to hear from everyone throughout the process!
I’m applying RD, but it’s not 100% as I have a different school I’m applying ED to so if I get accepted to my ED school I’ll revoke my application to BU. However I’m not placing all my odds with one school, so I’m still doing my supplements.
And wow, the BU supplements are a lot. I’m applying for Kilachand as well as the Trustee Scholarship, and the amount of extra work is really something thats a bit stressful. It’s not the worst I’ve done, but it’s tough.
I’d be interested to know what Trustee Essay 1 topic people are choosing. I’m thinking about choosing the Genetic makeup question, but I’ve been writing ideas for all three just in case I change my mind.
I’m applying RD as well and applying for Kilachand and the Trustee Scholarship and feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the essays. For the Trustee #1 scholarship I chose the prompt about robot weapons.
I scored a 1940 on the Old SAT which is on the lower end so I’m thinking that submitting my scores of 710 on US History and 680 on Math 2 will help but idk?? Will this hurt or help my app?
Does anyone know much about BU’s pre med track? I’m kinda worried because I’ve heard things about grade deflation and how it’s really hard to succeed in the sciences there, making for a lower GPA which can hurt getting into medical school. I really like the school but I just want to make sure about stuff like this.
@Green99 if you work hard and actually study you’ll be fine. I’m a current freshman, and grade deflation is just a excuse that people who don’t study/put in actual work use to blame their bad grades. Also, BU sends many people to med school so don’t worry about it.
BU honestly is such a great school! I hope you all can get in! Like BU is so amazing, I’m a freshman and I already have a job as a research assistant here at one of BU’s labs.
