@foodnetwork if you’re an international and don’t have the tab then I think its best to assume that we didn’t get the scholarship
@hazeydays It wouldn’t be but apparently the BU groupme is full. Hopefully they get it to open up to more people.
@CathJR @hazeydays there are a ton of different, small groupmes for bu
@Faultystart when somebody asked if there was one pages back someone said it had reached capacity but ya know if anybody has a link feel free to post I’d love to join one
Rejected
1330 on new SAT, ranked top 4% in HS (out of about 650), 96 UW GPA, 102 Weighted, 8 APs (5 on APUSH, 5 on AP world, 5 on AP Lang, 3 on Physics 1, taking 4 more this year) with pretty strong ECs in and out of school. Honestly a little surprised, I would guess my SAT is most likely the reason for rejection. Congrats to all accepted!
@intstudent2021 if you get their reply please post it here
waitlisted to the Questrom School of Business.
2040 on old SAT - converts to about a 1420 I believe for the new scoring.
3.6 unweighted GPA.
very strong extracurriculars and community service.
5 AP classes total - scored 4s on the three tests I have already taken.
Waitlisted
ACT: 29
IB: 35/45
Strong EC’s, Essays were okay
Accepted: U of San Fran, Fordham, UT Austin, LMU, Chapman
Rejected: U of Florida
Pending: Trin Coll
My portal said I am in a “short and unranked” wait list. Did anyone else get this? Does anyone know the waitlist acceptance rate?
My was accepted with FA $32,000 plus Loan $6,000. Is it OK?
Will anyone go to the multiculural weekend event in April?
Confirming for the International students. Just called the office of admissions and those of you who do not have a scholarship tab, unfortunately, did not receive any. Seems like my BU journey ends here. Bye
Accepted with 32 ACT 5.08/4.00 Weighted GPA Strong essays and 7 AP’s. No scholarships offered. I called the admissions office and they said that you will only have a tab for scholarships if you received one. I am from the US and don’t have a tab and I cannot afford the 67,000 per year. I’m super disappointed because I love BU but congrats to everyone who can attend.
@Mayank21 Same for me! Good luck to us in our other applications and byebye BU. Feels sad.
Does anyone have a scholarship tab that says “Your scholarship award decision is not available online”?
If you got the Cohen Scholarship, this is simply what shows up. I e-mailed them and there is no decision letter to receive offline. They worded it in a confusing manner.
I got the Cohen scholarship, and I have the same “not available” message. One of my friends who got the Cohen scholarship actually has some information about it on that tab. It’s weird, but I don’t think it really matters.
My S’s decision letter says “Congratulations! On behalf of the Board of Admissions, I am excited to welcome you to the Boston University Class of 2021. You have been admitted to the Questrom School of Business.” But when I click on Tuition Information it brings up two sets of tuition, one for the 2017/2018 Academic Year and one for the CGS January Boston-London Program. Does every see that as well? Just a bit confusing. Thank you.
@SwimmingDad I see the same thing it’s normal
@SwimmingDad Your S’s decision letter is specific to him (Congrats on his Questrom acceptance!) but the link within the letter takes us to the Admitted Students page so they list, on the Tuition and Fees page, the tuition for 2017/2018 and then the CGS January semester tuition for those accepted into that program.
Congrats to everyone that got in, very happy for ou guys and well done!
Unfortunately for me I got rejected (did not expect it, to say the least)
1440 SAT
710 Math 1, 750 French
Top 5% of class with 932 students
decent EC’s.
