BU Custom Chem Package and other Required books

Ok so what is this custom chem package? can we get this anywhere else b/c $228.55 is wayy too much to pay for something i’ll only use for one year in Chem 101.

Does anyone who has taken Chem 101 in the past have this and, if so, willing to sell it? My mom would kill me if I told her that she’d have to pay that much for one thing and that’s not including all the other materials I need to buy for my other classes.

Oh and one more question:

Do the professors expect you to have all the materials the first day of class? My older sister says that they usually give you a week to get the required materials.

If you don't mind waiting til move-in week, I still have all my CH101 books that you can take a look at and buy. If I recall correctly, the chem package is the text book, a 3d molecular kit, and a large custom binded notes book by Dan Dill who is the main guy that runs the course. In addition to that, you'll have to purchase a CPS, which is like a little remote control to answer questions with during lecture and for attendance purposes.

I think I might have everything you need except for the goggles/lab coat, which you can grab real quick at B&N.

Yeah, custom books can be a big part of your book buying. Esp in SMG. They suck.

Bananabrowning,
I'mso glad i got a reply from someone with the package.
So when did you buy them and how much are you willing to sell them? I have to see if the price'll be in my budget haha.

Thanks!

Keep in mind that it's possible that the custom book could change from year to year. I don't know if that's the case for Chem, but that's what happens at SMG.
