Two letters from BU professors during Summer Challenge Program that talk about how I am a very good student with some minor details
Will have a good Application essay
Will have good essays or recommendation from teachers

BU is my dream school and I don’t have a chance at CAS because my test scores and GPA are too low. Will my Class Rigor and improved GPA over years and extracurricular with early decision to CGS give me a very good chance for acceptance?

Don’t apply for CGS. Apply for CAS, and if you don’t get in, they will probably put you in CGS. There’s no point in shooting for CGS at first if you actually want to go into a different college.

haha I haven’ decided on a major yet and I have not taken SAT II’s. I would like to just have the best possible chances for getting into BU. Would this give me an ALMOST guaranteed shot for getting in?

I totally disagree with Moxess…and this is from the “business model” perspective of admissions:

if you apply ED to CGS and are accepted BU knows you are coming and that protects yield ( and they know they have you paying)

If you apply ED to CAS there is no yield protection for BU if they admit you to CGS instead; your decision is no longer binding and, therefore, there is no incentive for them to accept you at all…

If BU is your #1 and you REALLY want to be there, I agree with your idea to apply CGS ED…worse come to worse, they will defer you to RD to see who else applies directly to CGS…but highly unlikely, especially if you are a full pay student.

and make a very strong case as to why you want to start in CGS; small class size, personal attention etc…

Thank you Rodney. I really do want to go to BU, because I really have respect for the name of the college and the people on Boston seem to be very clean and calm. The only thing that worries me is that I live in Michigan so I would have to fly to BU and back every time I went home. One other thing I am worried about it the chance of me possibly going to medical school, but I hear BU has a lot of grade deflation making it very difficult to getting a good GPA.

Do people reviewing BU transcripts post undergrad understand that it is hard to get a high GPA?
