Any current or recent BU engineering students in the group? How is the engineering school for Mechanical Engineering majors? Do most graduates find jobs within six months?
Engineering majors are in great demand and there are lots of employers in the Boston area, one of the great reasons to be a student in the Boston area. One of my friends graduated with a ME degree from BU many years ago (I had a different major) and he is in a hiring position. He hires grads of BU Engineering, and not just because he is an alum. He thinks highly of the students at BU Engineering, and if anything, the students are better now than when he and I attended BU. I know someone who graduated recently, they had a great internship that led to a full time job.
You in HS and considering to apply, or admitted and deciding on acceptance ?
This is a very competitive school, more than the overall stats for BU.
It is a small college within a large and highly selective university, they turn down most applicants.
Thanks for your reply! My daughter has been admitted and is trying to decide between BU and University of Rochester.
