So I’m a regular decision applicant waiting to hear back from BU, and I was checking the applicant link and I think the message on my financial aid page changed? It says “Your application is complete. A decision is pending. You will be notified by mail as soon as a decision is made.” I know I’m probably reading too much into this, but a lot of posts on this website talk about how wording is different depending on the decision on your application, and that message sounds kinda affirmative to me. I’m probably just seeing what I want to see, but does anyone else have any information on this or a different message? Thanks
the messages don’t matter for RD.
"Your application for financial aid is complete.
Additional forms may be requested when your application is reviewed. Once a decision is made on your application for admission, a decision will be made on your financial aid. You will be notified about financial aid by mail and the decision will also be available to you online on the Link.
If you would like additional information or have specific questions about financial aid, we recommend that you visit the Financial Assistance Page or e-mail us."
That’s what mine says and the only reason why I’m wondering about it is because “Your application is complete. A decision is pending. You will be notified by mail as soon as a decision is made” seems more indicative of acceptance? idk is that just me or
^ that’s what mine says too, but honestly i read “your application is complete a decision is pending” more as your overall application was decided on and a decision on your FA is pending. i feel like everyone’s portal should say this bc obviously all the applications have been reviewed. i think it’s more of a meaningless variation like the “Thank you” vs “our records indicate” but who knows. definitely a good data point to include when you post your decision tomorrow.
