BU & Holy Cross

I am a junior with a 3.8 unweighted GPA (I haven’t been given my weighted one yet). My class rank is 10 out of over 400 students. So far I have taken AP US history, Biology, Chemistry, and Language, and I plan on taking 3 more my senior year. I have taken the SAT once and got a 1250, and am taking a prep class to get this score up. I play soccer and run a season of track. I am also on student council, prom committee, DECA, junior rotary club, best buddies and helping committee for my class. I participate in community service weekly playing sports with special needs children. I also work 15 hours a week at a local grocery store. I obviously have room for improvement, but these have been my top schools for quite a while, and I was wondering my chances of admission with a major such as biology/biochemistry. Thank you!!!

Your GPA is strong and in line for these schools. SAT is on the low side, so try and get that up. You can always apply test optional to Holy Cross if your score does not improve. Neither school requires you to designate a major when you apply. Holy Cross does track interest, so be sure to visit and interview.
