BU Housing

I was looking into BU Housing and it seems really nice.

My question is though, is it hard to get the nicer bits of housing like singles and such if you get accepted RD, because they’re taken by the ED applicants? I don’t know how it goes at BU. I know with NYU, all the really good housing is taken by the ED applicants, and that’s where I applied ED and ended up rejected, so…

Now BU is my top choice and I really want to look into the housing because if I do happen to get accepted, I’ll be going to BU without a second thought. So do you have any advice with the housing, opinions on which kind of housing you think is best, etc?

Thanks guys! =]

Umm I guess the best housing is over in the Student Village or any of the brownstone residencies but generally only 10% of freshman occupy these. As a freshman I'd say either Warren Towers or West Campus is best depending on where your classes are. They are very community-oriented and have just about all you need as a residence. It works out well for freshman.,

As a freshman it is very difficult to get a single or "nice" housing. A bit of advice though. As a freshman, you don't want a single or "nice" housing. What you need as a freshman is a fun and open social environment so that you can meet people and get accustomed to the school together. That is why West and Warren are perfect for freshman. The nicer dorms are far less social and there is much less interaction on the floors. In Warren and West, everyone keeps their doors open and you essentially all live together in one big community. Take advantage of this while you can. Meet new people and have fun. And once you move up a year or two and have a solid base of friends, then find that "nice" dorm where you can live on your own.

Thank you, guys! And that is good advice, for whatever college I get accepted to, because every college I applied to is hours from home, so I'll want to have plenty of people to be. =] Thanks.
