BU housing?

Does anyone know if the two engineering floors in Warren Towers are coed or same sex? They're Marshall 9 and Shields 12. Which would you recommend?

What about Honors housing?

Pretty much all the floors in Warren are co-ed except for a few. Both the engineering floors are coed. And you'll never hear the towers in Warren actually called Fairfield, Marshall, and Shields. You'll just hear A tower, B tower, C tower. Just for future reference haha.

That being saaaaaid! I'm a 12C alum. So you should ask for that haha. Be prepared for huuuuge 12C-9B rivalry, too. It's pretty intense. You'll all bash each other. My freshman year my floor even had 12C sweatshirts made and 9B had shirts made. We held a pretty intense dodgeball tournament. We also had an awesome RA that year. She was an RA fror the floor this year, too, but she's graduating this year :( But yeah, I don't know anyone who regretted their time on 12C

Hahaha. Well it sounds like I'll be asking for 12C. Do you know if the ROTC kids have special room assignments or are they spread around?

Can you ask directly to stay in Warren Towers?

yes, just make it the first choice on your housing survey

just put it as your first choice when you fill out your housing survey.

Jinx! (you owe me a coke)

lmao maybe i'll buy you one at BU, assuming you're going/attending it already.

Do you have to live in the West Campus dorms if you are in CGS?

You don't have to if you don't want to, but I don't see why you wouldn't. It is the most convenient place for a CGS student to live.

This might sound dumb asking but for one of the grants it says you have to live on the Charles River Campus...what exactly is that?

Which grant is that?

It just means on Campus. It's called that becuase there's also a separate medical campus. But there's no undergrad housing there

oo okay

and it is the Supplemental University Grant (i got 2 thousand)

That's what I got too! xD I seems I got a ton more aid than other people. =/ I got that and 32k in Boston U grants even though my EFC was 12k. Then I got like 8k in loans. Seems like they really liked me.

Yeah. I had that same one. When I moved off campus senior year, it went away. But it was replaced by, what I like to call, the "you're really poor grant" which was also 2000 so it all worked out

Can you live on campus for four years? Or is that too hard?

Housing is guaranteed all four years. I just moved off because my boyfriend graduated and it was cheaper for me to share a place with him

p.s. about 60-65% of students stay on all 4 years. Lots of people stay all 4 and some move off right after freshman year. It really depends on the person. And it's also useful to know that if you ever do decide to move off campus, there's plenty of 'off' campus housing that is really located right near or in BU's campus. So they aren't far away
