I had pretty much decided I was going to Boston University and major in Biology for my undergraduate after I attended this weekend. Unfortunately, after having an amazing time on campus I have found out that Boston University only offers a BA in biology and I was wondering if this would hurt my chances at either a Physician Assistant or Medical School. Also, if for some reason I did not get into Med or PA school how do my job prospects for working in lab change by not having a BA instead of a BS? Also I can potentially switch (I think) from College of Arts and Sciences to Sargent College and get a Human Physiology BS, which I guess I can also assume I can do nothing with if I don’t get into PA or Med school, right?

I do not think a BA v BS matters. Here is what matters:

The only relevance the BA will have is if you are forced to take a language (which is generally not required) and can not get As in it.

my pre-med friends are killing themselves every semester in bio lol. i’m a bio minor myself and it’s no picnic, if that’s what you’re thinking : )
