BU is my dream school and I'm nervous

I applied regular decision because my college counselor advised against ED…But I want to get in so bad an I’m worried about my stats…

Anyway, I go to a private Jesuit high school, and our school doesn’t rank and doesn’t show us our GPA without weight…It only sends our weighted GPA to colleges…I don’t get why…>Won’t BU just take the weight off?

Anyway, my weighted GPA is 3.55, and I did bad freshman and sophomore year. I got a 4.0 (Weighted as I said) first semester of this year (I’m a senior), so they can see my improvement. I also think I got a 4.1 first semester last year…

I got a 2010 on the SAT and a 29 on the ACT, but when I took the ACT that I got a 29 on I took it without writing because my college counselor said you only have to take writing once…I took it the first time and got a 25 on the ACT…So my actually decent score of 29 counts for nothing I guess since I didn’t take the writing with it.

Anyway, I have done a lot of community service, I was a zooteen, so I volunteered a lot of hours at the zoo during the summer, I went on a weeklong service trip to Appalachia last year during spring break. I also did cross country all four years of highschool…I was fairly involved.

I’m more worried about my stats though…Is my GPA good enough even though it’s weighted? I’ve also taken AP courses. I have 3 this year and had 1 last year (there arent many available at our school…You can only take 1 sophomore year, and then there are a few more junior and senior year).

Sorry I sound like a wreck haha, I just want to get into BU so bad and am trying really hard to express my interest to them.

So can anyone somewhat chance me?

Forgot to mention, I just took 3 SAT subject tests on the 22nd. Dont know my scores on those yet.

It’s impossible to say online whether you will be accepted. But with your SAT and an upward trend in your GPA I’d say you have a chance.

thanks! I know it’s impossible to say, and that all I can do is wait, but I’m just so dang nervous! Does anyone know approximately when Regular decision people will get a decision back? I heard early march somewhere I think…
