I got accepted into both, BU barely gave me any financial aid and Fordham gave me about 12000. Where should I go?

What do you want to study?

I want to study law, also i was placed in CGS at BU…

The schools are pretty equal (I got into both) Go wherever gives you the most money.

Go where it’s cheaper. I’m not a Fordham fan but I’d take the 12k.

why do you not like fordham? out of curiosity…

Which fordham campus did you get accepted to? Have you visited? I think law at Fordham may be a better choice, especially with the aid they’ve given you but you MUST visit the campus and check out the area. Visiting convinced me out of attending the school. The same goes for visiting BU.

I’d rather not go into details, but I know of two kids who had let’s say difficulties with some aggressive other students and the administration acted like morons. Both are no longer there.

I have been accepted to Lincoln Center. Is Lincoln center better than Rose Hill? I plan on visiting Fordham as well…

You have to see. They are very, very different experiences.

I would go with Fordham.

Yes, Rose Hill and Lincoln Center are VERY different. Lincoln Center is in Manhattan while Rose Hill is in the Bronx…a not so great part of the Bronx, might I say. The campus itself beautiful though, it’s almost hard to believe such a gorgeous school is situated in such an area.

Visit. The Lincoln Center campus will place you in the NYC college experience (you’re dorming right?) while BU gives you the Boston experience…I personallly love Boston but that’s just because I’m sick of going to school in New York.

I am dorming at Lincoln Center…how is commuting around New York like?

commuting around New York isn’t that bad. Well, sometimes it is. You never know when there may be some delays.

Considering Fordham gave you that much money, I recommend FU! I also got accepted to Fordham University at Lincoln Center and Boston University. Are you attending President’s Spring Preview? I have already registered Hope to see you there!!

I most likely will be attending the president’s spring preview!!! haha i probably will see you there and not even know it!

Commuting around NY is not the worst thing in the world. It’s a little pricey at 2.25 a ride but it takes you where you need to go. Dorming at Lincoln Center would be quite an experience! Congrats!

Thanks! ya…i heard it was 3 dollars for one way on the ram van between campuses unless you have a class or something…

Oh, hm, well, keep in mind what I mentioned about the area around the Rose Hill campus. I didn’t know you meant commuting to for classes there. I don’t know if there is an easier way but when my mom and I visited, we had to take a train and a bus. The train ride from Brooklyn was about 2 hours and from Manhattan its probably about an hour. Instead of taking the bus, we walked because we felt it would be a little safer…

But correct me if I’m wrong guys, maybe we just didn’t know the best route there. I know you can also take the MetroNorth which lets you off right by the Rose Hill campus but that costs more.

You’ve probably made your decision by now, but just wanted to point out that Fordham has tied BU in the U.S. news [56 overall] rankings, and will very likely surpass it over the next few years. I don’t know much about BU, but I can tell you and other prospective students that there are very few schools in the country that can surpass the quality of education Fordham provides.
