Hey Guys!
So i never really wanted to attend a big university but it seems that my two top choices at the moment are BU and UCONN. I plan on majoring in Biology and Neuroscience and sticking to a pre-med track. I was accepted to BU with a $10,000 scholarship but because im a CT state resident and received half tuition scholarship at UCONN my tuition only comes out to be around $3,000 total. I want to know if BU is going to be worth the extra money. Hows the social life, the professors and the Life sciences department. Are there alot of research opportunities for Undergrads? Do students really love it? I visited BU a long time ago so I plan on going back. Im a hard worker but i really want to experience college and have fun, and id much prefer to be in a city than a farming town. Anyone have any advice?

ahhh i have to make this same decision between these two universities and i need to decide like right now

If the money is important to you and your family, take the cheaper option.

$40k vs. $3k… It just seems like uconn would be a more financially realistic choice.

With financial matters put aside, BU would definitely be worth the experience–not that there is anything wrong with UConn. BU has a more dynamic population of students if you compare it to UConn. If you look for research opportunities, you’ll get it. You just have to put some effort into your search, like anywhere else.

Which UConn campus are you comparing BU to, because from what I’ve heard UConn campuses range from place to place.

Anyway, BU is an amazing school with an amazing location.

Choose wisely–good luck!
