I am at a crossroads between attending Penn State or Boston University’s business school for Finance. I was admitted to a branch campus at Penn State and in 2 years I will be guaranteed a transfer to University Park(main campus). I have sent an appeal to try to have them reconsider me for University Park for all four years since I’ve my mid-years are much stronger and since I started new internships. If it is accepted, I might actually consider Penn State since it is much cheaper, but I don’t know which is better in terms of overall academics and career development, especially for recruiting at big consulting or banking firms.
Penn State has the Nittany Lion Fund if you can get into that, but being in the city of Boston provides so many opportunities. Both schools have massive alumni networks. But Boston University is also a very prestigious school.
