LAST YEAR THEY STARTED RELEASING DECISIONS IN THE MORNING STARTING AT 8AMEST AND THEN POSTED THROUGHOUT THE DAY.
Did anyone get an email from BU freshman counselors Tyburski and Mah inviting you to learn more information about BU and the College of Engineering by joining their Facebook/Twitter page?
This was the exact email I received:

“We are excited to hear that you have applied for admission to the Boston University College of Engineering!

@VanilllaIce I received that email, too, around a month ago. I don’t know if it may be indicative of admissions, though. :0 I’ll be praying!!
@deliriouslydead I don’t know either, but I hope we both get in!
I wonder if anyone who was accepted into BU last year received the same/similar emails we both received…
@VanilllaIce When did you get your email? If you got it recently, maybe it’s a sign for both of us!!
@VanilllaIce @deliriouslydead don’t want to burst your bubble, and I’m sure you guys will get in, but I’m pretty certain that the email is generic for all engineering applicants. They also do this at other universities.
@indecisive19 Yeah, that makes sense. I thought that maybe it meant something considering the fact that @VanilllaIce just mentioned this email recently, while I got it a while ago. It does seem like a generic email, but I was trying to grasp onto that tiny sliver of hope XD Thank you for explaining this though.
True that lol. Just holding on to some hope, but thanks @indecisive19!
@deliriouslydead I got my email yesterday at 9:51 a.m.
@VanilllaIce I got that email on February 1 at 4:12p.m. lol
@deliriouslydead @VanillaIce it doesn’t seem like a mass email, given that it has been sent to applicants at such different times… right?
@deliriouslydead lol nice. Did you apply to the College of Engineering as well?
@neuts004 But a mass email could also be interpreted as everyone gets one except at different times. Maybe the emails come out in batches, just like applications, but nonetheless, it’s possible for everyone to get one. After all, I don’t think it is possible for BU’s system to send out all emails or decisions at the same time to the applicants. I’m guessing that BU this year received at least a whopping 35K applications.
Has anyone here NOT received the BU email about learning more info. + joining BU’s social media sites? It would definitely be appreciated if someone spoke up (no one here will judge you
Didn’t your email specify the College of Engineering? Not just about social media sites, right? My D has not received this email. She applied to Sargent College as Human Physiology major.
@Winky1 Yes, my email specified the College of Engineering with some generic college-related information. And who knows? We have 14 days left until decisions come out. It’s possible for an email to be sent by then.
This is the exact email to me:

I would not think my D would get that email because she’s got nothing to do with the College of Engineering.
@Winky1 Well, not that specific email… But rather one pertaining to Sargent College…
So are you thinking this is like a likely email?
