I’m getting soooo nervous/anxious to hear back!! Good luck to everyone
I haven’t heard anything and I applied for engineering
Is anyone able to access their finaid or any other stuff from this link https://www.bu.e d u/link/bin/uiscgi_studentlink/1520546283?ModuleName=menu.pl&NewMenu=Money (put together “.edu”)
@mrcruton Nope, it says that the site is restricted to registered students.
“Access to this application is restricted to registered students. Recently accepted applicants should contact the Office of Financial Assistance for further information”
However I think I can log onto the library account but I need more time- I’m not at my laptop lol! I have a BU web account so it is making me log into the library services and etc. I will update later what happens
I would advise against anyone getting attached to housing and financial aid theories…based on my reading of last year’s thread, a lot of people experienced a lot of angst and anxiety about access/access denied, congratulations pages, “new student” labels, etc., only for most of that to turn out to be false.
Conspiracy theories are fun tho
:))
my access is denied for the library account ~O)
@mrcruton uh, when i opened it i got a bunch of tabs for academics, personal, work, food and shelter, basics, and index as well as a “money matters” tab that it launched onto automatically with a bunch of loan info and stuff. if i tried to login to get fin aid or any other info it gave me the same error, though.
.
Where exactly did you go to open something @acollegehopeful3 ? Thanks.
Got it. I see all of the tabs that @collegehopeful3 is seeing.
What is the link?
nvm
S’s message changed this morning. It had been “our records indicate that you have applied to the College of Arts & Sciences for the September 2018 semester” since my S applied in December 2017. Now it says:
Thank you for your application to the College of Arts & Sciences for the September 2018 semester. We will email you during the application review process if we are missing any required credentials for your application. You will be directed to check this page to see which credentials are not yet received.
Please note that all students are expected to submit senior year grades. If you have not already done so, please arrange for your counselor to send them as soon as they are available.
It is important that we have your current email and mailing address to be able to communicate with you regarding your application status. Please verify your contact information by clicking Applicant Address.
If you would like to change the BU school or college to which you have applied, or wish to discuss your application, please call BU Admissions at 617-353-2300, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern Time. You may also email us at admissions@bu.edu.
Does anyone else have the “all students are expected to submit senior year grades” message? There is no question that my S’s Mid-Year Report (with a transcript of first semester grades) was submitted late January, and downloaded (according to the common app) a few days later.
@youngone4 , the message your son now has is the message that my D has. And yes, it has the section about senior year grades, and I know hers have been submitted for the first quarter and for the first semester.
@YoungOne4 i still have “our records indicate” but this is my message:
"Our records indicate that you have applied to the College of Communication for the September 2018 semester. If this information is not correct, or if you would like to change the college or school of application, please call BU Admissions during regular business hours.
Our records currently indicate that your application for admission is complete. Please note that the status of your application file and the required credentials are only accurate to date.
Upon further evaluation, the Board of Admissions may determine that we need further information to complete your application file. If so, we will contact you, or you may check our web site at a later date. If you would like to discuss your application further, please call us at 617-353-2300 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and a member of our staff can answer any remaining questions that you may have."
no senior year grades request. i remember a statement similar to yours was on my application until they got my mid-year report.
So odd that there are two different messages for students who are still waiting on admission… I know people have said that it doesn’t mean anything for RD students but it seems like it must mean something!
“Please note that all students are expected to submit senior year grades” - I believe this is a prompt for FINAL senior year grades not mid-year grades. This leads me to my next observation - Why ask for final senior year grades unless you are admitted? I definitely believe that the “thank you” and “our records” have a relationship to the process for RD. For instance, perhaps, people are not seeing the change over from “our records” to “thank you” in time especially if they are completed just before decisions go live?
