@ACollegeHopeful3 Yours is exactly what my S’s said (except for the reference to CAS) since December (with the minor change in late January to “your application is now complete” after his GC submitted the Mid-Year Report with his first semester transcript) up until this morning. I know it changed sometime mid-morning, since the “our records” message was still there when I checked first thing.
@Calilife From your lips to God’s ears :). I thought of that, and was hopeful. But what concerns me about that is the words “senior year grades” in the message are a hyperlink, and if you click on that link it takes you to the page on the BU admissions website explaining that ED and RD students need to submit “first marking period” grades, and expressly references that this can be done through the Mid-Year Report. A glimmer of hope for your interpretation exists in the fact that on the Common App page for BU, the “Final Report” is “required.” I just wish this hyper-link included that language.
YoungOne4 - I had the same observation but why did I receive a prompt in the past specifically for mid-year grades not senior grades? The timing of the change over is also interesting. We will see!
That’s true, @Calilife. I’m thinking the timing of the change is the finalization of the decision. The wording is just so inapposite to that, though. Well, you’re right. We will see in about a week. Not soon enough. This is exhausting!
Whenever I forget about the date time seems to fly but whenever I start focusing on it the days go by so slow! Wish I could just find out now and get it all over with! haha
So if you have our records and don’t have anything about sending in final grades does that mean you’re rejected? Also how does this work if you applied ED.
My message just changed today as well. Same message as @YoungOne4’s about the senior year grades. I’m trying not to read too much into it since I know my stats are pretty low and I’d be pretty surprised to be admitted lol
Maybe once they reach a decision on the student they change it to “Thank You”? Regardless of whether it’s a rejection or acceptance.
@monkeyg56 yes that’s true but that’s mostly the debate over “thank you” vs “our records indicate” and less so with the grade request, AFAIK this is a new one that hasn’t really been documented in previous years.
