I don’t agree re the OOS analysis. I think BU prides itself on a diverse student body, and diversity includes OOS.
@YoungOne4 At schools like BU, BC and Northeastern being out of region may help. They all have more than enough students fro New York and New Jersey.
It’s not as much about the OOS, but the high grades. If you look at the RD thread from last year, it is filled with kids with super high scores whose counselors told them BU was a safety school, who got rejected. Schools don’t want to be left at the altar. They know kids with high marks are probably waiting to hear from their ED school who deferred them. Schools try to determine, if we accept them, will they come.

I got the same message, but mine did not say thank you before hand… not sure when i last checked though. maybe it did and i didn’t see it??

yeah for ED they came out a few days early!!!
they did send an email which seemed adamant that they were going to be released the 17th, though.
Oh no. I still haven’t recovered from yesterday’s rejection from NEU. Not sure if I want to hear from BU today or not!
@MrazFan100 yeah, same here, i also got rejected from NEU and I was banking on having until saturday to recover

Since BU sent out an email a week or so giving the exact date and time of release of decisions I doubt if they will release them before then. But feel free to add several pages to this thread speculating on the possibility.
For what it’s worth, I’ve noticed on past years’ strings that BU updates its portal (with the update message you’re seeing) once and even twice in the couple of days before the announced release date. So, in my opinion this is normal and we can still expect decisions as announced on Saturday morning. Good luck everyone!
for ED they also said they would come out on the 15th but they still came out early
I say we for sure add about 4-5 pages speculating this because I’m very bored and this is my form of entertainment
