Do they consider your new GPA that includes first semester senior year grades? I took more AP classes this year so my overall GPA has increased but I wasn’t sure if that’s the one they look at?
I do think they consider your mid year grades because they ask for them. Great job!
Is anyone else unable to login past the “Welcome to the Applicant Link!” page?
Yes, I was just able to log all the way in right now.
Couldn’t log in past that for a few minutes. Now, I can login and…now the message on the Welcome to the Applicant Link! page is different. It’s much shorter. Now it just says:
Welcome to the ApplicantLink! We recommend you check back frequently to confirm that all application materials have been received. You will also be able to view your admission decision here when decisions are released.
U.S. citizens and permanent residents applying for need-based financial aid:

Plus, S no longer has to go through the BU Web Account step to get access to the Applicant Link. Has anyone else noticed this change/that step disappearing?
I think mine has always had that short message. I’m not 100% sure, but it didn’t catch my eye when I logged in.
the page you get when you login also seems much shorter to me now, too.
At 3:15 it said this:
Welcome to the ApplicantLink! We recommend you check back frequently to confirm that all application materials have been received. You will also be able to view your admission decision here when decisions are released.

Login to your BU Web Account now.
Then I couldn’t log on for a few minutes (screen went to black and red), and by 3:30 I could log in and now the screen only says this:
Welcome to the ApplicantLink! We recommend you check back frequently to confirm that all application materials have been received. You will also be able to view your admission decision here when decisions are released.

Some people I know from last year got their decisions before March 1st, so the portal could update tonight for some.
@dtxaryan22 Do you know how many people? And how was it so early?
Funny thing is that my D’s portal had the short message that YoungOne4 now has (post #169), and now it has the longer message that she specifies in post #168. They sure are working things out that’s for sure. No sense of it at all.
I never heard that students got in before March 1st @dixaryan22. Not to call you out, but that was only your 3rd post. Not sure it is solid info. ??? Any more details you can share? I am skeptical.
Took a look back at last year. Looks like they sent out an email on 3/1 advising that decisions would be out on 3/18. Maybe that is causing the confusion about people hearing 3/1 last year. Good luck to all!
my portal is still glitchy and I still have “our records indicate” ugh:( but, when I first login it’s “Welcome to the ApplicantLink! We recommend you check back frequently to confirm that all application materials have been received. You will also be able to view your admission decision here when decisions are released.”
@Winky1 No I get it, I would be skeptical too, but it was my cousin and she got in on the 28th of February Last year. She was the only one from her school, so not really sure if a lot of other people got it. I would say most people will hear back on the date that BU says in the email we are supposedly getting tommorow
S’s portal is glitchy, too. The login is glitchy.
How much impact do mid year reports have on admissions decisions?
@sia123, I believe that for Regular Decision senior year midterm grades are used like all prior years’ grades to calculate the average GPA throughout high school.
I think the question remains if you have a “thank you” as an RD candidate, has anyone been rejected? I know there are posts about ED 1 and 2 that there was some evidence of rejections. I could not find posts that note that an RD candidate was rejected with a “thank you”?
