I just thought it was hilarious that I got rejected from Boston University and then got into Yale. Was there anyone else that got rejected from a less prestigious school and then got in?

me too... i was rejected by johns hopkins but was admitted to yale as well as ann arbor engineering.... tough i think it was jhu's stigny aid policy and my need for 100% aid as an international student that made them reject me....

BU is a fine school and you should see it as only their loss. However don't be found gloating or wrenching your elbow patting yourself on the back. Attending Y and receiving what she has to offer will be plenty of reward in and of itself. I rarely mention Y in casual conversation preferring to say I went to school "out east" mostly. I'm fiercely proud of my alma mater but am also very sensitive to others who may feel challenged by the fact that I'm a Yalie.

Don't use your Y status to bash other colleges. It's unseemly. I'd urge that people let this thread pass away...
