<p>I tried to post this in the "What are my chances" forum, but no one replied :(. Thought you guys might be more helpful :)</p>
<p>So I applied for BU RISE, an engineering summer program at Boston University, on 4/2/12. Letters come out in probably three weeks, and I just wanted to hear your input. <p>Academics:
All honors maths: Geometry (A), Algebra II (A), Precalc (A) and a note about Precalc H at my school: It's all of precalc and all of calc A in one year (so through integration).</p>
<p>Science: Bio (A) Chem Honors (A/B+) AP Chem (A-), and AP CompSci A (A)</p>
<p>Etc: AP Latin, APUSH, AP Human Geo, English II and III Honors, AP Art History (these are AP's I've already done and are enrolled in currently)</p>
<p>GPA: 4.26 weighted through five semesters, 3.88 unweighted through five semesters</p>
<p>No class rank (school doesnt provide)</p>
<p>Test Scores:
AP's: HumanGeo (5), Art History (4)
SAT: 2230, CR: 730, Math: 720, Writing: 780
SAT II: BioM: 760, Chem: 720</p>
<p>EC's:
I volunteer at local Boy's and Girl's Club
Special Camp for Special Kids (a weeklong program over the summer where a counselor hangs out with a special needs camper, and takes them to the zoo, bowling, etc, and just has a good time)
Varsity Tennis, 2 years
This past summer I got a job at a civil engineering firm and got to work alongside them, and I was able to learn a lot from the experience how engineers work (I put this in my essay)
Headmaster's Honors all years of high school</p>
<p>Letters of Rec: Great, I got one from counselor who knows me very well, as well as my academic advisor, who just so happens to be my AP chem teacher as well.</p>
<p>Essay: pretty good in my opinion, my counselor read it over and thought i did well.</p>
