BU RISE Program 2019

I have incredibly low stats so I feel like they are instantly just gonna toss my application in the trash cuz I have a below average sat score and my school doesn’t offer AP classes so my transcript looks like I didn’t challenge myself

I also don’t mind doing the practicum cuz I’ll be so grateful if I can even get in! I might also apply to high school honors as a much needed back up

same here, I would love to do the internship but practicum works too haha

I only submitted my psat score  and it’s from 1.5 years ago so idek

I don’t think so, I chose professors studying similar topics for my top 3

I only took the SAT once and it’s super bad…barely even the national average

@depressedtomato same w s20182002 my lab choices are also pretty similar to each other so i think it’s okay

i also only submitted my psat score… i had a good sat score but i did badly on the essay portion so i was afraid to send it in rip

i heard that essays are the most important part(?) tho so hopefully they’ll compensate for my stats, which are honestly nothing special

does anyone know when they start sending acceptances?

In 6-8 weeks

do you guys know which specialty is the most popular or competitive?

I would think it to be medical or bio / chem

Has anyone received an acceptance yet? I heard someone who got rejected

i haven’t heard from them yet… just received an email yesterday saying all my materials were received and i would hear back in 6-8 weeks

same as marshmalloes, I received an email this morning which said everything was submitted and 6-8 weeks. do you know who got a rejection?

Someone from school…but I’m guessing it’s cuz they didn’t submit their supplementary materials or they didn’t get the 2 teacher recommendations turned in on time

yeah, that’s probably the case. I know that there are two phases to the admission process, where they first accept you and then match you. does the 6-8 weeks refer to your acceptance or match?

i Have no idea

Does anyone know if anyone has received an acceptance yet

I think it will take them a few more weeks to send out decisions

anyone hear anything?
