BU RISE Program 2019

nope…idk if thats a good sign or a bad sign…

Nothing yet. But it’s supposed to be like three to five more weeks right?

i have no idea. it seems like they intend to keep it very vague…but honestly i just want to know whether i got in or not because i have other summer activities to plan

Freakin same…They are just like omg y’all should prioritize our program and we will also torture you by telling you the decision after all the due dates for other programs so you cant do nothing except for sit there and die hehe

according to the email that I got, it says that the decisions are releases 6-8 weeks after 2/21

i just want to know if i was rejected or not, they should at least be able to tell us if they instantly rejected us

same dude i feel u

Rip just got rejected, prob bc I don’t do research or science fair tbh

Same. Did it say in the email that you should apply to the high school honors program? Is that program even worth it?

Moved onto the matching phase! I’m so surprised! Does anyone know the acceptance rate?

Moved on too! Didnt expect this but hey not complaining. I already got into feinstein but I don’t love the research/mentor I’m paired with so I’m hoping to get into somewhere else (Garcia is my top choice omg but rise seems so cool too). I think the acceptance rate is fairly low, but I’m not sure. Does anybody know what the chances of winning competitions with a project from rise is?

I got into the matching phase today as well! Let me know if anyone cares to hear my stats, or anything else. I’m so excited

I still didn’t get it???

@Succ55 could you please share your stats?

Btw, I got a 1600, have a 4.0, did well on the PSATS, and took the hardest classes possible. But, I didn’t have many STEM extracurriculars.

Got in matching for electrical and computer engineering. I can provide a short overview of my stats:

GPA: 4.0 UW
SAT: 1580 PSAT:1500
Research Intern at University last summer
Placed in a few coding competitions and help to teach at a coding school and I have a few other leadership positions.
I whipped up my essay last minute so I think it was pretty mediocre and I didn’t know my recommenders very well so I’m assuming tests and grades got me in matching.

Moved to matching for Neuroscience first choice, Psychology (i think) second choice

GPA: 4.0 UW /4.6 W
ACT: 35
Essays were decent, however I was never involved in any research stuff before this so I’m honestly kinda surprised I’m moving on.

I see where I’m at… My sat is a 1330 and I got couple Bs, and my gpa is 4.08 ish since I go to a new school and we could only take 1 ap as a sophomore. I’ll just pray for myself and good luck to all of you guys who got in!

I’ve got my fingers crossed for you @depressedtomato

thank you and congratssss!@succ55
