Hey guys. I applied to Boston University and I also applied to their Martin Luther King Jr Scholarship and I was wondering if anybody here also applied. Does anybody know what kind of grades you would need to get this scholarship? Also, how many people end up getting this scholarship? Thanks in advance.

bump......................

According to the BU website, for this scholarship:

Minimum high school GPA: 3.50
Average rank in class: top 10 percent
Average SAT I score: 1250 (ACT: 28)

The website does not say how many of these scholarships are awarded.

eh i'm thinking this isn't about grades at all but about how seriously you are involved in the pursuit of social justice and community involvement. there are many kids who have high grades/sat scores and have done community service and i think they would have applied for this (considering that it is full tuition). my smart friends did. but the average sat score is only a 1250. thus, i'm thinking that they only accept kids who are truly passionate abuot social justice not just those who do A LOT community service (1500+). sure you have to meet a certain standards for grades/sat scores but i'd think they're looking for bona fide leaders particularly. this is just my opinion.
