Hey! For all those crazy hipsters who’ve sent in their fee’s and have their new email, and access to student portal, what do you guys think?

I’m kind of underwhelmed. Allot doesn’t work, it seems kind of slow. Everything seems kind of arduous to get to. The mail app is like 5 clicks away from your main student page. But that is just me, I’m kind of nit picky about this kind of stuff.

yeah I see what you're saying. it's probably not the most efficient interface and definitely less than aesthetically pleasing but I dunno it doesn't end up being that big of a deal in the scheme of things and I can kinda understand considering the services and networks they have provide maintain and protect in so many locations and I have yet to have a problem with anything computer-related. Oh, and logging in to *every*thing gets old. quickly.

If you're using the my.BU portal, I'm pretty sure you can customize everything so the links are on the pages you want them. I still use StudentLink though...

I found it easier to use bu mail on my Apple Mail Application. It can also be used on Microsoft Outlook. When you set it up this way, you access the server just by clicking on your mail app without going through any website or the poorly organized web interface.

Agreed. That's what I ended up doing. I'm just being picky because I'm a web developer by profession, I guess you guys are right. It's not too much of a big deal, I'd like to see them clean up the navigation though.

you can forward the email you review on your acs.bu.edu mail account to another email address that you normally use. like i already set it so that all the email i get forwards to my gmail account. i think it just makes it easier for me. i also keep a copy of the email in my acs account though.
