BU student transferring to UT

I am at freshman at Boston University and also on their division 1 swim team. This past swim season I got injured and want to transfer back to my state school which is University of Texas. My current GPA is a 2.8 which isn’t that great but BU is a very tough grading school. Will I have any chance in getting into the liberal arts school at UT? All advice and answers are greatly appreciated.

If you’re talking about UT Austin, you unfortunately do not meet the minimum GPA requirement of 3.25.

Have you looked at other schools in the University of Texas system? UT Arlington may be a good option to look at. Perhaps other Texas state schools?

I thought only the school of Architecture has a minimum GPA requirement. In the link there’s no GPA requirements for liberal arts or communication.

The grades won’t be enough to get you into UT. There are plenty of other schools to go to in Texas. You could try UTSA and Texas State. Both have very good liberal arts programs. In fact, Texas State is ranked #4 in the nation for theater arts.
