Although I had a great childhood in Pennsylvania, I always felt lost amidst the swaying trees and the rolling hills. But when I moved to New York, I felt like I had an awakening. From the never-ending hustle and bustle of the streets to the skyline outlined against the rising sun, the macrocosmic New York life was far superior to my humble, microcosmic childhood in the mountains of Pennsylvania. However, that transitory stage between the places awakened wanderlust within me. It calls out to me and I know that New York cannot satisfy it any longer. People say that New York is the greatest city in the world. And although I have taken a lot from it, I want to put that theory to the test. That is why I believe Boston University is the best fit for me. We both share the firm belief that the whole world can be used as an institution of learning. After all, we learn so much more from the firsthand accounts of life rather than the secondhand accounts of textbooks. From its rich historical background to the even richer city life, Im ready to wander again and to experience even more growth and changes that only a city like Boston can evoke.
