BU, Syracuse, or USC?

What are the differences between them? Which is better? And what other universities offer top communications and journalism programs?

Thanks! :-)

BU is great. It’s in the city, and you can get internship opportunities.

Syracuse has one of the best journalism programs in the country (like top 3 good). Their alumni network is filled with some of the best, but the surrounding area is not as great as BU.

I applied to both, I think that they are both great in their own way.

Once at SU, you rarely leave the campus. BU is like NYU…all city and Mi campus. If you want to major in journalism, Newhouse or look at UNC, too

The Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at USC is located in a multimedia mecca. Wallis Annenberg recently donated $50 million dollars to build a new state of the art complex for the school. The Annenberg Foundation donated millions for scholarships.

Majors available at the school are:

Communication
Broadcast and Digital Journalism
Print and Digital Journalism
Public Relations

Journalism students are encouraged to pursue double majors or minors in widely different fields. The school stresses a broad based liberal arts core to enhance writing and reporting. Students learn the techniques of writing, reporting and production across all the new media in print, broadcast and online.

Annenberg offers practical experience in The Daily Trojan, Annenberg TV News, Annenberg Radio News, Impact newsmagazine, Annenberg Digital News and neontommy.com. The career development office assists in placing students in internship positions around the country.

Faculty have won Emmys, Pulitzer and other awards. Some professors of note are Emmy winner, Judy Muller, Dr. Henry Jenkins, Dr. Ernest Wilson, Geoffrey Cowan, Jay Harris, Dr. Diane Winston, Joe Saltzman and writer in residence Norman Corwin.

Annenberg offers international study in the Annenberg International Programs.

USC has a true campus within a major city. Alumni form a close and supportive community. The student body and faculty are among the most diverse in the country.
