Im currently a freshman at BU and have been incredibly unhappy for the majority of the year. I applied for transfer to a number of schools, and was admitted to UW-Madison among others. I went to see this school this weekend, and I was really impressed, it had literally everything I found BU to lack. Yet, I'm having mixed emotions, because I realize that the city of Madison will obviously not offer what the city of Boston has. I wanted to see if any other potential transfer students can relate to the second-guessing i've had lately. I don't know if its just because its getting warmer now, but leaving now seems harder than before. Any thoughts?

Btw, I'm from California if that has an bearing, and my problems with BU have been a lack of spirit, sports, community, campus, centered social life, and CGS. Madison is an awesome school, but the midwestern vibe is definately not something I'm used to, and I'm worried about how I fit in.
