Here is a good link for daily updates about BU. Click on the Close Up section for recent and changing photos taken by students. I think you can sign up to get this along with the BU Daily News, for free, sent to your email address. Both provide a different feel for life at BU compared to what one finds on the official web site.

The Daily Free Press is apparently the 4th largest paper in MA, according to the head of the Journalism program.

BU Today is an official daily publication like what every major school has.

A more interesting link for high school kids might be BU's Student Central. It has links to just about every area, from meal plans and housing to financial aid to some local restaurant info (but there are soooo many). You obviously can't access your non-existent BU email account but it lists officially sanctioned social events. It's a good example of the kind of easy to use, student-friendly web services BU has.

I am bumping up this BU TODAY link. If you search on the right you can get specific info on the colleges within BU and some may include sudent profiles with stats. Also, look under search for "rule of thumb" data thread for averages overall.
