<p>Going into my college this fall with the intention of transferring to BU as a soph.
Here are my HIGH SCHOOL stats:</p>
<p>Editor in Chief of Literary Magazine, 4 years
Editor in Chief of Newspaper, 4 years
President of 2 Clubs, 4 years
Student Council, 4 years
Elected into our school’s international society by teachers, which just started when I was a sophomore
Lots of volunteer work
piano: 14 years</p>
<p>*PROBLEM: 3.2 gpa, 1440 SAT/took easy classes until senior year (3 AP’s, 2 hnrs, 5 AP tests & got a 1 on all of them)</p>
<p>maryland asian american with A LOT of leadership roles, which is rare. my private high school school is in oakton, virginia, however.
intended major: geography or economics</p>
<p>Transferring to any college is considered to be a more stringent process than regular freshman admission. Your activities and clubs record is good enough, but to be blunt, your academics are not up to BU par. Your GPA is perhaps a little too low, and I can’t comment on your SAT scores because you didn’t mention whether it’s out of 1600 or 2400 (big difference, obviously), but what’s with all the 1’s on AP tests? That’s going to shine through in a bad way.</p>
<p>Taking into consideration all of that, combined with the fact that it can be very difficult and competitive to transfer, I’d say it’s a long shot. Certainly not impossible, though.</p>
<p>just a side note, i didn’t put down a college when i took those ap tests, so the college i’m attending this fall won’t even get the scores. i think. i’ve never taken an ap before those five so i’m not sure.</p>
